The London Times has identified his \u201ccombination of total spontaneity and meditated ripeness that only great pianists have.\u201d A prolific recording artist, he boasts a discography of over 45 recordings for Chandos, covering repertoire from Mozart to Stravinsky, including a set of the complete Beethoven sonatas and the complete Liszt\u00a0<em>Ann\u00e9es de p\u00e8lerinage<\/em>.
