Italian bass-baritone\u00a0Luca\u00a0Pisaroni\u202freturns to Koerner Hall, this time joined by his father-in-law, famed American baritone Thomas Hampson, to perform an evening of\u00a0operatic arias\u00a0and duets, as well as\u00a0music by Cole Porter,\u00a0Harold Arlen, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, and\u00a0Franz Leh\u00e1r, accompanied by pianist\u00a0Vlad Iftinca.\u00a0Hampson, America\u2019s foremost baritone, \u201cis without question one of the world\u2019s greatest opera singers \u2026 a voice, a baritone so rich it can circle the universe\u201d\u00a0(Diane Sawyer,\u00a0Good Morning America<\/em>).\u00a0He has received many honours and awards for his probing artistry and cultural leadership, and his discography includes winners of a Grammy Award, five Edison Awards, and the Grand Prix du Disque.<\/p>\n
