In 1775 a teenage Mozart caught the operatic world by storm when he wrote\u00a0La finta giardiniera<\/i>, his youthful masterpiece of disguise, deception and the redemptive power of love. Five years later, he revised it as a\u00a0Singspiel<\/i>\u00a0which remained the only known complete score until the Italian version was rediscovered in the late 1970s.<\/p>\n
Following his enormous success conducting\u00a0Orphee aux Enfers<\/i>, Russell Braun returns to the podium to lead the singers of U of T Opera in the original Italian version of\u00a0La finta giardiniera<\/i>\u00a0with direction by Michael Patrick Albano.<\/p>\n
