Featuring bold, sensual works for voices \u2014 Cassandra Miller\u2019s The City, Full of People, Caroline Shaw\u2019s Pulitzer Prize winning Partita for 8 Voices, Luciano Berio\u2019s Cries of London, and Thomas Tallis&#8217; Lamentations of Jeremiah \u2014 this performance subverts expectation for the choir; bending, twisting, and mutating historical forms into new shapes and gestures.<\/p>\n<p>\u200bPunctuating the performance is Claude Vivier&#8217;s Cinq Chansons pour Percussion, featuring virtuso percussionist Aiyun Huang.
