Metropolis Overture, a special composition by Mississauga composer Larysa Kuzmenko, completes a program that is not to be missed.<\/p>\n<p>Witness the power and heroic spirit of <strong>Beethoven\u2019s Symphony No.<\/strong> 3, a revolutionary work that transformed the symphonic genre. Beethoven\u2019s third symphony bridged the Classical and Romantic eras, influenced countless composers, and redefined the possibilities of orchestral music.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chopin\u2019s Piano Concerto No. 1<\/strong> is a remarkable piece of Romantic music that showcases virtuosic piano technique and lyrical, expressive style. Composed in 1830 when Chopin was just 20 years old, it remains a timeless testament to Chopin\u2019s genius. <strong>Eric Gu<\/strong>o, winner of the International Chopin Piano Concerto, will join the orchestra for a thrilling performance that will showcase his abilities as an incredible concert pianist.<\/p>\n<p>Originally commissioned to celebrate the City of Mississauga\u2019s 40th anniversary, <strong>Metropolis Overture<\/strong> by Mississauga composer <strong>Larysa Kuzmenko<\/strong> traces the evolution of Mississauga from rural townships to a bustling city.
