Toronto Mendelssohn Choir\/Bach Mass in B Minor<\/h3>\n

Tuesday March 28 at 7:30 p.m. Koerner Hall. $25+<\/p>\n

Jean-S\u00e9bastien Vall\u00e9e leads the TMC and a baroque orchestra in Bach\u2019s most monumental work. Soloists are drawn from the choir\u2019s professional core. Info here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

COC\/Slavonic Dances<\/h3>\n

Wednesday March 29 at noon. Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre, Four Seasons Centre. Free.<\/p>\n

Toronto Symphony Orchestra\/Juan Manuel Ca\u00f1izares\/Gustavo Gimeno<\/h3>\n

Wednesday March 29 at 8 p.m. (repeats Friday March 31 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday April 1 at 8 p.m. and Sunday April 2 at 3 p.m.). Roy Thomson Hall. $71+<\/p>\n

A popsy second half of Spanish-flavoured favourites \u2014 Ravel\u2019s Bol\u00e9ro, Rodrigo\u2019s Concerto de Aranjuez (with guitarist Juan Manuel Ca\u00f1izares as soloist) and selections from Falla\u2019s El Amor Brujo (with the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra) \u2014 follows a serious first half coupling a work by a contemporary Spanish composer, Francisco Coll, and Henri Dutilleux\u2019s Symphony No. 1. Against the Grain\/Bluebeard\u2019s Castle<\/h3>\n

Wednesday March 29 at 7:30 p.m. (repeats Friday March 31 at 7:30 p.m. and April 1 at 1:30 p.m.). Fleck Dance Theatre, 207 Queens Quay W. $50+<\/p>\n

This contemporary British adaptation of Bart\u00f3k\u2019s powerful one-act opera features Gerald Finley in the title role and Charlotte Hellekant as Judith (who, in this version, is suffering from dementia). RCM\/Benedetti Elschenbroich Grynyuk Trio<\/h3>\n

Friday March 31 at 8 p.m. Koerner Hall. $50+<\/p>\n

This formidably-named visiting piano trio featuring the Scottish violinist Nicola Benedetti offers a solid coupling of Schubert (Trio No. 2 in E flat Major D. 929) and Tchaikovsky (Trio in A Minor Op. 50). Info here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

RCM\/ARC Ensemble\/Alberto Hemsi<\/h3>\n

Sunday April 2 at 2 p.m. Mazzoleni Concert Hall. $25+<\/p>\n

Alberto Hemsi, 1898-1975, a widely travelled composer who drew on his Sephardic Jewish heritage, is the focus of this concert by the RCM\u2019s enterprising ARC Ensemble. Info here<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n

Mooredale Concerts\/Mathieu Gaudet<\/h3>\n

Sunday April 2 at 3:15 p.m. Walter Hall. $45 ($40 senior, $30 under 30)<\/p>\n
