RCM Opera: Flight<\/h4>\n

Wednesday March 15 at 7:30 p.m. (repeats Thursday March 16 at 7:30 p.m.). Koerner Hall. $26+<\/p>\n

Koerner Hall becomes an opera house for this Glenn Gould School production of Jonathan Dove\u2019s 1998 comedy examining how people at an airport (including an undocumented refugee) deal with a delay brought on by a storm. Gordon Gerrard conducts and Anna Theodosakis directs. Info here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

RCM\/Chineke! Orchestra with Stewart Goodyear<\/h3>\n

Saturday March 18 at 8 p.m. Koerner Hall. $50+<\/p>\n

The diversity-minded U.K. orchestra, on a North American tour, visits with music by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor (Othello Suite<\/em>), Florence Price (Symphony No. 1<\/em>) and Stewart Goodyear (Callaloo \u2013 Caribbean Suite for Piano and Orchestra<\/em>). Toronto Mendelssohn Singers\/The Little Match Girl Passion<\/h3>\n

Saturday March 18 at 7:30 p.m. Church of the Holy Trinity. $40 (seniors $37, 30 and under $25)<\/p>\n

David Lang\u2019s acclaimed cantata is the centre of this awareness-raising program, featuring choruses from Bach\u2019s St. Matthew Passion and the premiere of Shireen Abu-Khader\u2019s Diaries of the Forgotten<\/em>. Jean-S\u00e9bastien Vall\u00e9e conducts. Donations of clothing for the homeless accepted. Info here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

VOICEBOX Opera in Concert\/L\u2019Amant Anonyme<\/h3>\n

Sunday March 19 at 2:30 p.m. Jane Mallett Theatre. $54<\/p>\n

The lone surviving opera by the Mozart contemporary Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, gets its professional Canadian premiere. David Fallis conducts an orchestra of 10. Info here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
