RCM\/The King\u2019s Singers\/Finding Harmony<\/h3>\n

Thursday Feb. 16 at 8 p.m. Koerner Hall. $45+<\/p>\n

The popular British male vocal sextet offers a program of \u201canthems of struggle and revolution\u201d drawn from the U.S. civil rights movement and parallel developments in Finland, Georgia, Scotland, South Africa and other locales. Toronto Symphony Orchestra\/Return to Massey Hall<\/h3>\n

Friday Feb. 17 at 8 p.m. Massey Hall. $95+<\/p>\n

Gustavo Gimeno takes the band back home as part of its centenary observances. Tchaikovsky\u2019s Fifth Symphony is on the program, as it was in the inaugural TSO concert of 1923; Samy Moussa\u2019s Second Symphony<\/em>, a TSO commission, is back after its U.S. premiere last week in Carnegie Hall. Mar\u00eda Due\u00f1as appears again as soloist, this time in Max Bruch\u2019s once-ubiquitous (and indestructibly tuneful) Violin Concerto No. 1<\/em>. Info here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

VOICEBOX Opera in Concert\/M\u00e9d\u00e9e<\/h3>\n

Sunday Feb. 19 at 2:30 p.m. Jane Mallett Theatre. $38+<\/p>\n

The resourceful VOICEBOX Opera in Concert company presents the 1797 Luigi Cherubini potboiler (and, in an Italian translation, Maria Callas vehicle) with soprano Natalya Gennadi in the title role, tenor Scott Rumble as Jason and mezzo Julie Nesrallah as N\u00e9ris. Music at MET\/Trinity Bach Project<\/h3>\n

Sunday Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. Metropolitan United Church. Freewill donation.<\/p>\n

The MET choir joins forces with the singers and instrumentalists of the Trinity (i.e. College) Bach Project in a program including Bach\u2019s Cantata No. 23<\/em> and motet Singet dem Herren<\/em> (BWV 225) and Brahms\u2019s Geistliches Lied<\/em>.
