Roy Thomson Hall\/Mutter Virtuosi<\/h3>\n

Tuesday Feb. 7 at 8 p.m. Roy Thomson Hall. $68+<\/p>\n

Vivaldi\u2019s The Four Seasons is the big draw on this visit by the German violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter and 14 of her foundation scholars. Also on the program are a concerto by Joseph Bologne, the Chevalier de Saint-Georges, and Unsuk Chin\u2019s 2021 Gran Cadenza for two violins<\/em>. Info here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Toronto Symphony Orchestra\/Mar\u00eda Due\u00f1as<\/h3>\n

Wednesday Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. (repeats Thursday Feb. 9 at 8 p.m.). Roy Thomson Hall. $59+<\/p>\n

The 20-year-old Spanish violinist and Deutsche Grammophon artist plays Lalo\u2019s Symphonie espagnole<\/em> in this pre-tour program, including a suite of Prokofiev\u2019s Romeo and Juliet<\/em> music and Samy Moussa\u2019s 20-minute Symphony No. 2<\/em>. RCM Orchestra\/Earl Lee<\/h3>\n

Friday Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. Koerner Hall. $25+<\/p>\n

The Korean-Canadian assistant conductor of the Boston Symphony leads RCM students through Stravinsky\u2019s Symphony in Three Movements<\/em>, Barber\u2019s Knoxville: Summer of 1915<\/em> (Elena Howard-Scott, soprano) and Schumann\u2019s Symphony No. 2<\/em>. A way to hear an orchestra in Koerner Hall without taking out a second mortgage. Info here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

FILMharmonic Orchestra\/Music at the Movies<\/h3>\n

Friday Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. Roy Thomson Hall. $81+<\/p>\n

Francis Choini\u00e8re, an enterprising young Montrealer, visits with his touring orchestra in music from the likes of Schindler’s List<\/em> and Cinema Paradiso<\/em> as well as selections by the semiclassical composer Fran\u00e7ois Dompierre. Info here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Tafelmusik\/Rachel Podger<\/h3>\n

Friday Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. (repeats Saturday Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. and Sunday Feb. 12 at 3 p.m.). Jeanne Lamon Hall. $25+<\/p>\n

The acclaimed British violinist<\/a> is soloist and leader in a program including Haydn\u2019s Symphony No. 43 (\u201cMercury\u201d)<\/em>, Symphony No. 49 (\u201cLa Passione\u201d)<\/em> and Mozart seldom-heard Violin Concerto No. 1<\/em>. More info here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

RCM\/Yamaha All-Star Big Band<\/h3>\n

Saturday Feb. 11 at 8 p.m. Koerner Hall. $75+<\/p>\n

An RCM concert in the TD Jazz: The Great Composers Series. The first half will feature the Yamaha All-Star Big Band with trumpeter Jens Lindemann and JUNO Award-winning pianist Robi Botos. The second half will feature the Yamaha All-Star Big Band with pianist Jon Kimura Parker performing Gershwin\u2019s Rhapsody in Blue<\/em>. Info here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

National Arts Centre Orchestra\/Songs for Murdered Sisters<\/h3>\n

Saturday Feb. 11 at 8 p.m. Roy Thomson Hall. $35+<\/p>\n

Alexander Shelley leads the visiting NACO though a song cycle by the American composer Jake Heggie with words by Margaret Atwood. Baritone Joshua Hopkins is soloist. Also on the program: Brahms\u2019s Symphony No. 4<\/em>. More info here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Andrew Wan\/Charles Richard-Hamelin<\/h3>\n
