The robustly standard programs offer Beethoven (<em>Seventh Symphony<\/em>) and Prokofiev (<em>Fifth Symphony<\/em>) on Wednesday and Beethoven (<em>Coriolan Overture<\/em> and <em>Eighth Symphony<\/em>), Liadov (<em>The Enchanted Lake<\/em>) and Mussorgsky-Ravel (<em>Pictures at an Exhibition<\/em>) on Thursday. Four Seasons Centre. Free.<\/p>\n<p>Players from the COC Orchestra try out a septet version of Richard Strauss\u2019s radiant <em>Metamorphosen<\/em>. Also on this free noontime program: Zolt\u00e1n Kod\u00e1ly\u2019s <em>Serenade for Two Violins<\/em> and Viola, Op. 12. However it is presented on this occasion, we can have faith in a cast that includes soprano Ambur Braid \u2014 deemed \u201cspectacular\u201d by a Frankfurt critic in her 2020 debut in the title role \u2014 as well as the reliable veterans Karita Mattila (Herodias) and Michael Schade (Herod).
