Toronto Symphony Orchestra\/The Planets<\/h3>\n

Wednesday Nov. 9 at 8 p.m. Roy Thomson Hall (repeats Thursday Nov. 10 at 8 p.m. and Saturday Nov. 12 at 8 p.m). $59+<\/p>\n

TSO conductor emeritus Peter Oundjian returns to lead Holst\u2019s indestructibly popular orchestral suite. Among the first-half numbers is Mendelssohn\u2019s Konzertst\u00fcck No. 2<\/em> with Eric Abramovitz on clarinet and Miles Jaques on basset horn. North Yorkers will hear Mozart\u2019s Symphony No. 41 (\u201cJupiter\u201d)<\/em> instead of Holst at the George Weston Recital Hall on Sunday Nov. 13 at 3 p.m. More information and tickets here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Sinfonia Toronto\/Chan Ka Nin Harp Concerto<\/h3>\n

Friday Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. Trinity St. Paul\u2019s Centre. $44 (senior $37, student $17)<\/p>\n

Conductor Nurhan Arman opens starts with his own chamber-orchestra arrangement of Mozart\u2019s early String Quartet in D Major<\/em> K. 155\/134a and ends with Suk\u2019s Serenade<\/em>. In between comes a new harp concerto by the veteran Chan Ka Nin with Teresa Suen-Campbell of Lakehead University as soloist. More information and tickets here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Theatre of Early Music\/Nota Bene\/Sch\u00fctz and Handel<\/h3>\n

Friday Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. Trinity College Chapel. $35<\/p>\n

Dan Taylor\u2019s Theatre of Early Music and Howard Dyck\u2019s Nota Bene Players and Singers perform the Musikalische Exequien<\/em> of the early Baroque master Heinrich Sch\u00fctz along with Handel\u2019s The Ways of Zion do Mourn<\/em>. The concert is part of a weekend Sch\u00fctzfest including an historically informed church service, Sunday Nov. 13 at 11 a.m., at St. George\u2019s Lutheran Church (410 College Street). ARC Ensemble\/Robert M\u00fcller-Hartmann<\/h3>\n

Sunday Nov. 13 at 2 p.m. Mazzoleni Concert Hall. $25<\/p>\n

The ARC (Artists of the Royal Conservatory) Ensemble shines some light on chamber works by Robert M\u00fcller-Hartmann, a German composer and critic who found himself in England from 1937 to his death in 1950. More information and tickets here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
