Toronto Symphony Orchestra\/Film Scores<\/h3>\n

Tuesday Oct. 25 at 8 p.m. (repeats Wednesday Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.). Roy Thomson Hall. $35+<\/p>\n

Principal pops conductor Steven Reineke surveys a century of film music from Nosferatu<\/em> (1922) to The Batman<\/em> (2022). Among the 16 selections are excerpts from King Kong<\/em> (Max Steiner), The Sea Hawk<\/em> (Erich Wolfgang Korngold), The Godfather<\/em> (Nino Rota) and Gladiator<\/em> (Hans Zimmer). Michelle Cann\/Music Toronto<\/h3>\n

Tuesday Oct. 25 at 8 p.m. Jane Mallett Theatre. 47.50 + (students $10, 18-25 pay your age)<\/p>\n

Hailing from the faculty of the Curtis Institute, this American pianist mixes Chopin and Brahms with music by her compatriots Florence Price and Margaret Bonds. More information and tickets here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Philippe Jaroussky\/Ensemble Artaserse<\/h3>\n

Wednesday Oct. 26 at 8 p.m. Koerner Hall. $50+<\/p>\n

The French countertenor appears with his six-piece Ensemble Artaserse in a Baroque program featuring music by Ferrandini, Handel, Hasse, Piccinni and Vivaldi. More information and tickets here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Esprit Orchestra\/Spira<\/h3>\n

Thursday Oct. 27 at 8 p.m. Koerner Hall. $27+<\/p>\n

Tafelmusik\/Aisslinn Nosky<\/h3>\n

Lucas Debargue\/Show One Productions<\/h3>\n

Saturday Oct. 29 at 8 p.m. Koerner Hall. $40+<\/p>\n

The charismatic French pianist offers a recital of Mozart (Sonata K. 310<\/em>), Chopin (Ballade Op. 38<\/em>, Prelude Op. 45<\/em>, Polonaise-fantaisie Op. 61<\/em>) and Alkan (Concerto for Solo Piano<\/em>).
