of Gustavo Gimeno as Music Director of the Teatro Real in Madrid.<\/p>\n<p>The new role is slated to begin in the 2025\/2026 season.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Timing is everything<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Assuming Gustavo Gimeno isn\u2019t renewing his contract with the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra, he is scheduled to end his tenure with the symphony in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The Spanish dynamo currently completed his second season as music director of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The leap to opera<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Gimeno has an extensive history of working in opera with guest appearances with Liceu Opera Barcelona (Verdi\u2019s <em>Aida<\/em>), Zurich Opera (Verdi\u2019s <em>Rigoletto<\/em>), and Valencia Opera House (Bellini\u2019s <em>Norma<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>It was at The Teatro Real where he just conducted Prokofiev\u2019s <em>Fiery Angel<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love opera and everything that goes into bringing a new production to life;\u00a0but, above all, I am passionate about teamwork and sharing\u201d, Gustavo Gimeno said at the press conference held at the Teatro Real.<\/p>\n<p>The Teatro Real has also announced the appointment of Italian conductor
