The remainder of the season, including more than 100 concerts in the genres of world (global) music, pop, as well as classical and jazz, the Quiet Please, There&#8217;s a Lady on Stage series, and the next 21C Music Festival, will be announced in early June 2022.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Executive Director, Performing Arts Mervon Mehta<\/strong> commented in a release. \u201cThe 2022-23 season is filled with a spirit of revival and renewal. We eagerly anticipate the return of full houses and listening to the world\u2019s greatest artists. We are indebted to all our artists and audiences who have graciously adapted alongside us for the past two and a half years. The season is testament to our steadfast belief in the power of live performances to bring us together, to celebrate, to find solace, and to question our world. \u201d<\/p>\n<p>From superstar soloists to thought-provoking works and an impressive roster of Canadian and international artists, there is a wide range of performances on offer.<\/p>\n<h2>Koerner Hall 2022-23 Preview<\/h2>\n<p>Here are some of the highlights of the season as announced so far.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Two Gala Concerts<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Classical: Jan Lisiecki with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra<\/li>\n<li>Jazz: \u201cRhapsody and the Blues\u201d with Jens Lindemann, Jon Kimura Parker, and the Yamaha All Star Big Band<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Jazz Concerts: The Great Composers<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Ravi Coltrane: The Music of John and Alice Coltrane<\/li>\n<li>Mingus Dynasty Band and MONK\u2019estra Quartet<\/li>\n<li>Joshua Redman 3&#215;3 plays Ellington, Shorter, and Monk<\/li>\n<li>Kellylee Evans and Jackie Richardson sing Nina Simone &amp; Abbey Lincoln<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Chamber Music Concerts<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Kronos Quartet will perform three concerts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>A Thousand Thoughts: A live documentary<\/em> with the Kronos Quartet<\/li>\n<li>Kronos Quartet with students from The Glenn Gould School: Fifty Forward<\/li>\n<li>Kronos Quartet: <em>Music for Change<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Emerson String Quartet bids farewell<\/li>\n<li>Chineke!
