Photo: Karolina Kuras)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Today, the National Ballet has announced they will be returning to live performances at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in March as planned.<\/p>\n<p>Following a recent announcement by the Ontario government, venues in the province can reopen on February 21 with a capacity of 50%. They are anticipating that the province will likely lift the capacity limits altogether on March 14.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the new rules, the National Ballet has had to adjust the Spring schedule slightly.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>A Streetcar Named Desire<\/em> is onstage March 2 \u2013 6 as originally scheduled and will perform to 50% capacity.<\/li>\n<li>The <em>Winter Season Mixed Programme<\/em> is now onstage March 9 \u2013 13 and will perform to 50% capacity.<\/li>\n<li><em>The Sleeping Beauty<\/em> is now onstage March 18 \u2013 27 and will perform to total capacity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For tickets and more details, see [<a href=\"https:\/\/national.ballet.ca\/Homepage\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HERE<\/a>].<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Overly optimistic?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>It\u2019s groundhog day next week, which is perfect timing, as it is starting to feel just like the film.<\/p>\n<p>Despite a sharp rise in new cases and deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Ontario amid the holidays, cases have been dropping steadily over the past two weeks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-73873\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ludwig-van.com\/toronto\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/01\/COVID-19-cases-Ontario_Govt-2022.jpg\" alt=\"COVID-19-cases-Ontario_Govt-2022\" width=\"1200\" height=\"596\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s hope this marks a permanent return of the arts in Ontario and beyond.
