Music can and should transcend borders, and I am delighted to be supporting a scheme which offers high-level, tangible opportunities to talented young musicians coming together from many different countries,\u201d said Sir Elton John, in a release.<\/p>\n<p>The Royal Academy of Music (RAM) in London, England, devised the initiative, which will go live in September 2022 and allow students from top music schools throughout the world to participate in educational exchanges with the Academy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled that Sir Elton John has extended his ongoing and already considerable support for young musicians through this creative new program,\u201d said Dr. Peter Simon, President &amp; CEO of The Royal Conservatory. \u201cWe extend to him and to Jonathan Freeman-Attwood, the visionary Principal of The Royal Academy of Music, our thanks and gratitude. This program will foster a global perspective and change the lives of many young artists, to whom we look to extend the frontiers of our art form. The Royal Conservatory is honoured to be among this group of exceptional schools of music and part of this global network.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Schools Included<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto<\/li>\n<li>The Juilliard School (New York)<\/li>\n<li>Conservatoire National Sup\u00e9rieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris<\/li>\n<li>Shanghai Conservatory of Music<\/li>\n<li>Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki<\/li>\n<li>mdw \u2013 University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna<\/li>\n<li>Hanns Eisler Academy, Berlin<\/li>\n<li>The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts<\/li>\n<li>Sydney Conservatorium of Music<\/li>\n<li>University of Music and Performing Arts, Munich<\/li>\n<li>Reina Sofia School of Music (Madrid)<\/li>\n<li>Tokyo University of the Arts Faculty of Music and Graduate School of Music<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Up to 20 participants will be selected for the program each year.
