The Toronto Consort will be sticking with an all-virtual season for 2021-2022.<\/p>\n

The news comes despite Ontario\u2019s move to return to 100% capacity at concert venues, as announced last week<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This marks the second year Toronto\u2019s early music juggernauts have embraced a more digital forward approach to expressing their mandate.<\/p>\n

The 2021-2022 Digital season will stream exclusively on Early Music TV<\/a>, the Toronto Consort\u2019s new digital streaming platform launched in late 2020<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The season includes four digital events from the Middle Ages to early Baroque, and a premiere of a newly commissioned concert opera by Canadian composer Alex Eddington. All season events are filmed at Toronto\u2019s Trinity-St. Paul\u2019s Centre.<\/p>\n
