That deal includes renaming one of Toronto\u2019s iconic theatre venues.ven<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ludwig-van.com\/toronto\/2021\/05\/05\/feature-history-ed-mirvish-theatre-canadas-turbulent-movie-distribution-biz\/\">Ed Mirvish Theatre<\/a> will be renamed as the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre under the terms of the partnership.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday\u2019s announcement reinforces CAA\u2019s commitment to live theatre in Toronto and brings the best theatre productions from all over the world, to over 56 million CAA and AAA members across North America,\u201d says Jay Woo, President &amp; CEO, CAA Club Group in a media release. \u201cWe are excited to be a part of the return of theatre in the city of Toronto.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The Details<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre will officially open to the public in May 2022 for the Canadian premiere of <em>Harry Potter and the Cursed Child<\/em>, the largest production of a play in Canadian theatre history.<\/li>\n<li>Naming rights for the CAA Theatre (formerly The Panasonic), and CAA Lounges at the Princess of Wales and Royal Alexandra Theatres are also part of the agreement.<\/li>\n<li>CAA members will be able to access exclusive rewards and deals for theatre shows.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>What They\u2019re Saying<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u201cMy father would have been extremely honoured and delighted to share the spotlight on the new CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre with a company that embodies and shares his core principles of trust, honesty and good value,\u201d says David Mirvish.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe partnership brings together one of Canada\u2019s largest membership associations and the country\u2019s leading theatrical organization and solidifies CAA as a key partner.
