The three productions are to be performed in the latter half of the 2021\/2022 season.<\/p>\n<p>The opera crowd-pleasers are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Puccini\u2019s <em><strong>Madama Butterfly<\/strong><\/em> \u2014\u00a0February 4 \u2013 25, 2022<\/li>\n<li>Verdi\u2019s <strong><em>La Traviata<\/em> <\/strong>\u2014\u00a0April 23 \u2013 May 20, 2022<\/li>\n<li>Mozart\u2019s <strong><em>The Magic Flute<\/em><\/strong> \u2014\u00a0May 6 \u2013 21, 2022<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Opera is coming back. Are we ready?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The announcement comes after the COC\u2019s mid-August news stating that they will be sticking with an all-digital fall season for 2021.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been 18-months since the COC last performed an in-person opera, so the news is cause for celebration for Toronto\u2019s opera community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough our digital fall, it\u2019s been wonderful to be able to support artists, creators, and technicians in returning to the stage and sharing their talents with audiences from coast to coast to coast,\u201d said\u00a0COC General Director Perryn Leech. \u201cToday, we\u2019re delighted to announce even more ways to access the very best in Canadian opera, as we reintroduce in-person programming to our theatre.
