We’re very excited to share these programs by The Elora Singers and all of our extraordinary guest artists to bring a little joy and hope to our audience. While we all long for the opportunity to perform live again, by holding our festival online this year we are able to present an exciting lineup of international ensembles and other wonderful guest artists.”

Going online won’t replace in-person concerts…

…but that doesn’t stop arts groups from gaining some semblance of normalcy by moving forward online.

Ontario’s summer festivals were hoping Ontario would announce dates for Step 1 in time for them to plan ahead for outdoor in-person concerts. Unfortunately, news came too late, and most festivals have decided to stick with online formats.

Upside: festivals can now reach the entire world online

Downside: many are struggling to attract attention for online events attendance due to the high level of noise on platforms that limit organic reach for non-viral content.

Why this matters

Now in their 42nd season, The Elora Festival is Canada’s premier international choral festival, and takes place annually over three weeks in July in the picturesque village of Elora, Ontario.

The Elora Festival and The Elora Singers are led by Artistic Director Mark Vuorinen. The Festival’s ensemble-in-residence is The Elora Singers, one of Canada’s finest professional chamber choirs.

Former guest artists include Maureen Forrester, Gordon Lightfoot, Holly Cole, Sarah McLachlan, Moe Kaufman, Dame Cleo Laine, Jesse Cook, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Andre Laplante, Dame Kiri te Kanawa, Randy Bachman, Ben Heppner, Chantal Kreviazuk, Natalie MacMaster and Measha Brueggergosman.

Tickets have four pricing options, with individual concert tickets between $15-60. They are offering 15% discount of festival passes through July 4.
