He received his training at Canada\u2019s National Ballet School.<\/p>\n<p>As principal of National Ballet, C\u00f4t\u00e9 can be seen in most of the main roles each season, for both mainstay and contemporary productions.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s also a popular guest artist with Teatro alla Scala, English National Ballet, The Royal Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and The Mikhailovsky Theatre, to name a few.<\/p>\n<p>This is C\u00f4t\u00e9\u2019s second major honour in his home province of Quebec. In 2012, he was awarded La m\u00e9daille de l\u2019Assembl\u00e9e nationale du Qu\u00e9bec, a prestigious award recognizing his work in the arts.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Little did you know\u2026<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>With English National Ballet, he created the role of Gene Kelly in Derek Deane&#8217;s Strictly Gershwin.<\/li>\n<li>C\u00f4t\u00e9 serves as has Artistic Director of one of Canada\u2019s largest summer dance festivals, Festival des Arts de Saint-Sauveur.<\/li>\n<li>An award-winning choreographer, he debuted his first full-length ballet, Le Petit Prince, during the National Ballet\u2019s 2015\/16 season and Dark Angels in 2017 for the National Arts Centre.
