With last week\u2019s\u00a0announcement<\/a><\/span>\u00a0of Victoria\u2019s big three arts organisations cancelling live concert programming through 2020-21, we\u2019ve been keeping a close eye on how Toronto\u2019s art organisations are going to handle the precarious path forward.<\/p>\n If Soundstreams\u2019 announcement today is any indication, it may be a while yet until we can enjoy the concert hall experience.<\/p>\n Until further notice, Soundstreams\u2019 2020-21 season is on hold, and all sales of subscription ticket packaged closed.<\/p>\n In a press release, Soundstreams they stated they would be taking a \u201cdigital-first, in-person later\u201d strategy, and remain committed to presenting the best content funders allow them to produce.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have been busy working behind the scenes to create a roadmap for deciding on future shows. As soon as our health officials give the go-ahead, we will be back with programming that not only brings you the quality and engagement that you\u2019ve come to expect over the last 38 years, but it will also be presented with the greatest concern for your safety and well-being.\u201d<\/p>\n Soundstreams anticipates announcing further plans in June.<\/p>\n Want more updates on classical music and opera news and reviews?
