Announced today, Toronto\u2019s Art of Time Ensemble<\/a> has named Menon Dwarka their new Executive Director, effective May 14, 2019.<\/p>\n

“I am thrilled to be joining the Art of Time Ensemble, an organization whose artistic vision I have long admired,” said Menon in a press release statement. “For me, this role offers a wonderful opportunity to combine my knowledge of the arts, technology, community and audience building to build on the strong base that Andrew [Burashko] and David [Abel] have established.”<\/p>\n

Originally hailing from Toronto, Dwarka spent the majority of his career as a composer for television, and arts administrator in New York City for the 92nd Street Y, Harlem School of the Arts, Greenwich House, and as a writer and editorial consultant for Steinway’s in-house blog, Listen: Life with Music & Culture.<\/p>\n

Since returning to Toronto in 2013, Dwarka ran 918 Bathurst, and most recently, Arts Etobicoke.<\/p>\n

A fun fact: Dwarka is also the only Canadian arts administrator who can say they have been featured on the popular children\u2019s television series, Sesame Street.<\/p>\n
