Twenty-seven-year-old UK conductor Kerem Hasan has replaced Louis Langr\u00e9e in upcoming concerts with the\u00a0Toronto Symphony Orchestra.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Announced today, conductor Louis Langr\u00e9e has withdrawn from the upcoming three concerts this week<\/a> with the\u00a0Toronto Symphony Orchestra.<\/p>\n

Langr\u00e9e has been replaced by 27-year-old UK conductor Kerem Hasan, who will be making his Canadian debut.<\/p>\n

The program remains unchanged with Debussy\u2019s Pr\u00e9lude \u00e0 l\u2019apr\u00e8s-midi d\u2019un faune; Szymanowski\u2019s Violin Concerto No. 1 (featuring Christian Tetzlaff), and Beethoven\u2019s Eroica Symphony.<\/p>\n

When asked for the reason for the cancellation, the TSO stated they did not have any details about Langr\u00e9e\u2019s condition, other than two say they hoped he was okay.<\/p>\n

Originally born in London, Hasan was recently appointed Chief Conductor of the Tiroler Symphonieorchester Innsbruck in Austria.<\/p>\n

In 2017, he won the Aspen Conductor Prize and the Nestl\u00e9 and Salzburg Festival Young Conductors Award. The previous year, he was a finalist at the Donatella Flick Conducting Competition in London, after which he was awarded the position of Associate Conductor at Welsh National Opera.<\/p>\n
