The cycle is inspired by <em>Yaravi,<\/em> a genre of Andean love song which often ends in death of the two lovers, a theme also central to the myth of Tristan und Isolde. This recital was originally scheduled for October 25 but postponed due to indisposition of the COC Ensemble Studio mezzo-soprano Simone McIntosh.
