We begin and end our season with fascinating Canadian ensembles \u2013 the more traditional principal players from our very own TSO and the exotic acoustic guitar group, Forestare, from Quebec. In between, there is plenty of excitement with string quartets, a violin and piano duo, and the return of Piano Dialogue with two pianos and two great pianists.<\/p>\n<p>Under the artistic direction of pianist Wonny Song, Mooredale Concerts continues to showcase leading and emerging Canadian and international artists, performing both classical music standards as well as lesser staged works that span from the Baroque to the 20th century.<\/p>\n<p>Concerts take place at Walter Hall in the Edward Johnson Building, University of Toronto, 80 Queen\u2019s Park (Museum subway), Sundays at 3:15 p.m. The 492-seat theatre, especially designed for chamber music\/soloists, allows patrons to truly experience the artistry up close. You will sit no further back than 14 rows in a venue with admirable acoustics.<\/p>\n<p>Subscriptions are available for all six concerts, for only $140 adults, $130 seniors, and $90 for under age 30 \u2013 offering up to 47% in savings over single tickets.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>MUSIC &amp; TRUFFLES \u2013 Classical Music for Family Enjoyment<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nThis one-hour Series &#8211; performances for children ages 6-11 plus their parents, grandparents, and friends \u2013 begins its 15th season on October 29, with a Halloween-themed show. Subscriptions are only $75 for all five shows, and include a wrapped Lindt chocolate truffle for everyone at the end. These shows use the same artists as our main stage concerts, in a more relaxed and fun atmosphere, where artists show off their musical and comedic talents. Shows take place two hours before the main stage performance from 1:15-2:15pm at Walter Hall.
