(Photo courtesy National Arts Centre)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Montreal police have found the body of Eleanor Stubley, located Sunday night in Montreal&#8217;s\u00a0Sud-Ouest neighbourhood. Foul play is not suspected in her death.<\/p>\n<p>Stubley suffered from multiple sclerosis and relied on a\u00a0wheelchair, forearm crutches, and her specially-adapted transport van to get around. She had been on sabbatical from her duties since July 1 at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University, where she served as associate dean of Graduate Studies and associated professor of music history.<\/p>\n<p>Outside of the university, Stubley was also a renowned conductor who had worked with the Massey Singers, Bach Festival Orchestra and Canadian Opera Company members, and also\u00a0served as music director of various choirs covering classical to contemporary repertoire.
