This is in addition to the previously-announced appointment of cellist Claire Bryant in their final season, stepping in for Rachel Desoer who leaves\u00a0in October 2017 to honour &#8220;personal project commitments,&#8221; according to the Arts28 website.<\/p>\n<p>Since winning the 2010 Banff International String Quartet Competition, the ensemble\u00a0has been Quartet-In-Residence at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music, further expanding their reach in performances and workshops across Canada and the United States. Notable collaborations include performances with Afiara Quartet (who have also <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.musicaltoronto.org\/2016\/04\/20\/the-scoop-afiara-quartet-calls-timeout-for-now\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">announced plans to disband<\/a><\/span>), pianist Stewart Goodyear, as well as with Karin Kei Nagano, daughter of Kent Nagano.
