But the rest of the week is chockful of events, some very high profile. Two extraordinary pianists, Chinese <a href=\"http:\/\/www.musicaltoronto.org\/datebook\/tso-yuja-wang\/2016-10-13\/\" target=\"_blank\">Yuja Wang<\/a> and Russian <a href=\"http:\/\/www.musicaltoronto.org\/datebook\/show-one-productions\/\" target=\"_blank\">Denis Matsuev<\/a>, are in town to dazzle Toronto audiences \u2013 Wang with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra in Bartok\u2019s <em>Piano Concerto No.3<\/em>, and Matsuev in a solo recital of Beethoven, Schumann, Liszt, Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev. The COC production of <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.musicaltoronto.org\/datebook\/coc-norma\/2016-10-15\/\" target=\"_blank\">Norma<\/a><\/em> continues, starring the amazing soprano Sondra Radvanovsky, while its second fall production, Handel\u2019s <em>Ariodante<\/em>, opens. Radvanovsky is being honoured with the \u201cRubies\u201d (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.operacanada.ca\/rubies\/\" target=\"_blank\">Opera Canada Awards<\/a>) on Oct. 12. Canadian tenor Ben Heppner is the MC. Other honourees are film\/opera director Atom Egoyan and Opera de Quebec General Director Gr\u00e9goire Legendre.
