Their repertoire remains as diverse as the members who comprise the group, ranging from Classical to pop and jazz.<\/p>\n<p>From Bach to Broadway, \u201cIntroducing\u2026\u201d \u00a0will highlight HBQ\u2019s unique programming. While including standards of the brass quintet literature, this recording will bring fresh new arrangements, and will introduce two works brand new to the brass quintet world. \u00a0\u00a0New arrangements of Rodgers &amp; Hart\u2019s<strong> \u201cBewitched, Bothered and Bewildered\u201d<\/strong> from the 1940\u2019s music <em>Pal Joey <\/em>and Mascagni\u2019s beautiful <strong>Intermezzo from <em>Cavalleria Rusticana<\/em><\/strong> highlight a track list which also includes Jack Gale\u2019s stirring arrangement of <strong><em>A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square<\/em><\/strong> and the technical virtuosity of J.S. Bach\u2019s <strong>\u201cContrapunctus IX\u201d from the Art of Fugue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Also featured are two brand new works by RJ Satchithananthan: <strong>Solea<\/strong>, a flamenco-inspired piece; and <strong>\u201cStray Goat\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>a Funk- inspired show opener.<\/p>\n<p>HBG will present two community concerts to kick off our \u201cIntroducing\u201d fundraising campaign: the first concert will take place on<strong> Saturday, March 12 at St. Andrew\u2019s Presbyterian Church in Stratford, ON<\/strong>, followed by a second concert on <strong>Saturday, March 19 at Goodfellas Gallery in Toronto, ON<\/strong>. \u00a0More information on both concerts is found at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hogtownbrass.com\/\">www.hogtownbrass.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Additional funds are being raised through an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiegogo.com\/projects\/introducing\/x\/13272051#\/\">IndieGoGo Campaign<\/a>. They are meticulous with rhythmic patterns \u2013 which are always precise, as is their ensemble. Humour is a part of their style.
