I think the potential of what the Internet is going to do society \u2013 both good and bad \u2013 is unimaginable. I think we\u2019re actually on the cusp of something exhilarating and terrifying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bowie also talks about the demystification process between the audience and the artist and predicts that music will become\u00a0a conveyor of information. He says that music is now more about the audience, that the artist. One needs only to look at the popularity of the television shows such as American Idol, The Voice, X Factor, so see he was right.<\/p>\n<p>Later in the interview, Bowie refers to the internet&#8217;s impact on\u00a0\u201ccontent,\u201d a term yet to become the buzzword for the media that it is today.<\/p>\n<p>Paxman, looking perplexed asks, \u201cIt\u2019s just a tool, though, isn\u2019t it?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bowie replies,&#8221;No, it&#8217;s not. It\u2019s an alien life form.
