They pick and choose. The minimum response is 20 answers. A kind of Rorschach personality test, if you will.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After making his debut at the age of seventeen with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Andrew Burashko has become a fixture of the Canadian music scene. As a soloist he has performed extensively throughout Canada, the United States, and Europe, and as a chamber musician, he regularly collaborates with Canada&#8217;s top artists and performs in festivals throughout Canada and Europe. He has performed with most of\u00a0Canada&#8217;s major orchestras, and collaborated with\u00a0conductors such as Marin Alsop, Andrew Davis, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, and Pinchas Zukerman. Since 1998, Burashko has been flexing his musical dexterity as the artistic director of the <a href=\"http:\/\/artoftimeensemble.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Art of Time Ensemble<\/a>, a chamber music society committed to building a new and younger audience for classical music.<\/p>\n<p>You can catch\u00a0Andrew Burashko and the Art of Time Ensemble on May 22-23 for their 8 Songbook concert focusing on the music of\u00a0Brent Carver. I saw\/heard so many unforgettable concerts there &#8211; from The Police to Vladimir Horowitz.<\/p>\n<h3>Your role models?<\/h3>\n<p>The friends in my life.<\/p>\n<h3>Your favourite sound?<\/h3>\n<p>Laughter.<\/p>\n<h3>Your least favourite sound?<\/h3>\n<p>Car alarms.<\/p>\n<h3>First thing that comes to your mind when you think about Toronto.<\/h3>\n<p>The canopy.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\">The historical personalities, both good and bad, that fascinate you the most?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">Baudelaire, Beethoven, Nietzsche, Shakespeare, Van Gogh and Brodsky &#8211; I could go on and on. Most, if not all, would probably be in the humanities.<\/p>\n<h3>Your first three record store purchases?<\/h3>\n<p>Captain Fantastic by Elton John, <em>Band on the Run<\/em>, by Paul McCartney and <em>Desolation Boulevard<\/em> by The Sweet &#8211; all when I was nine or so.<\/p>\n<h3>If you could board a plane this afternoon, where would it be taking you?<\/h3>\n<p>Back to Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n<h3>The three books that you read that made an impact on you in your formative years?<\/h3>\n<p>Tropic of Cancer, Brothers Karamazov, and Paris Spleen (among many others).<\/p>\n<h3>What is your biggest phobia?<\/h3>\n<p>Snakes.<\/p>\n<h3>The clich\u00e9 that you overuse?<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cSarcasm is the lowest form of humour.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Shoe of choice?<\/h3>\n<p>A Beatle type boot.<\/p>\n<h3>The different career path that you could have gone on?<\/h3>\n<p>I fantasized about directing film &amp; theatre, but I never really explored any other paths.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\">Your favourite curse word?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">Definitely F**k.<\/p>\n<h3>Television show that you could tolerate re-runs of?<\/h3>\n<p><em>Seinfeld<\/em>, <em>Curb Your Enthusiasm<\/em>, and <em>The Sopranos<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h3>Under what circumstances would you join the army?<\/h3>\n<p>Under no circumstances.<\/p>\n<h3>Your major character flaw?<\/h3>\n<p>Impatience.<\/p>\n<h3>The character flaw in others that you can\u2019t abide?<\/h3>\n<p>Empty talk.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\">Your three favourite films?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">The are so many that I honestly don\u2019t know where to begin.
