She&#8217;ll be doing everything from singing Mozart arias to conducting a Haydn symphony.<\/p>\n<p>October also includes baritone Russell Braun and soprano Erin Wall, performing Vaughan Williams\u2019 <em>A Sea Symphony<\/em> Oct 21 &amp; 24, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Making his TSO d\u00e9but, Against the Grain Theatre\u2019s Joel Ivany directs a semi-staged production of Mozart\u2019s <em>Requiem<\/em> featuring soprano Lydia Teuscher, mezzo-soprano Allyson McHardy, tenor Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Antoun, bass-baritone Philippe Sly, and the Amadeus Choir and Elmer Iseler Singers, led by Mozart Festival curator Bernard Labadie.<\/p>\n<p>The New Creations Festival (created by Peter Oundjian) will be co-curated by Australian composer, conductor and violist Brett Dean. It will include a festival remix by DJ Skratch Bastid, a piece by Anthony Pateras (<em>Fragile Absolute<\/em> Mar 5, 2016), and North American Premi\u00e8re by James Ledger (<em>Two Memorials [for Anton Weber and John Lennon]<\/em> Mar 9, 2016). Some new commissions included for the festival also feature a collaboration by DJ Skratch Bastid and Kevin Lau featuring the Afiara String Quartet, and a joint work by filmmaker Peter Mettler and Canadian composer Paul Frehner. The biggest news, however, is an appearance by Radiohead\u2019s Jonny Greenwood , who will present the Canadian Premi\u00e8re of <em>Water<\/em> on March 12, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the TSO\u2019s Young People\u2019s Concert series, designed for audiences aged 5 &#8211; 12, the Orchestra brings to music the children\u2019s poetry collection <em>Alligator Pie<\/em> by Toronto poet Dennis Lee. A TSO co-commission composed by Abigail Richardson, the familiar lines of this work will spring off the page and onto the concert stage (Apr 2, 2016).<\/p>\n<p>The TSO will also be heading out on a tour led by Peter Oundjian to Florida January. Stops include West Palm Beach, Naples, Miami, Daytona Beach and Gainsville, and will feature Concertmaster Jonathan Crow and Canadian pianist Jan Lisiecki.
