Don\u2019t miss the opportunity to hear one of Toronto\u2019s best young quartets flex their bow strings. Continuing with the trend, China\u2019s National Centre for the Performing Arts Orchestra will be in town with the young pianist, Xiaoyu Liu. They will be performing\u00a0Tchaikovsky\u2019s Symphony No.5, Qigang Chen\u2019s <em>Wu Xing<\/em> (<em>Five Elements<\/em>), and Ravel\u2019s Piano Concerto in g. Details\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/performance.rcmusic.ca\/event\/NCPA\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Wednesday 12<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Toronto Symphony Orchestra<\/span>\u00a0with pianist <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Jan Lisiecki<\/span> at Roy Thomson Hall. 8:00 p.m. $33\u2013145<\/p>\n<p>One of the TSO&#8217;s season highlights is a special two-week mini series featuring Jan Lisiecki, performing Beethoven\u2019s Piano Concertos 3, 4, and 5. At only 19 years-old and already one of Canada\u2019s finest pianists, this is an opportunity to get better acquainted with Jan Lisiecki\u2019s concerto repertoire. Not only that, the great Danish conductor, Thomas Dausgaard will be leading the way. They made a big impact after winning 2013 Banff International String Quartet Competition in 2013 and are in fine firm. They will be performing works by Haydn, Saariaho, and Beethoven. They will be performing four violin sonatas by Brahms, Schumann, Ravel, and Respighi. Prepare to be wowed!
