The Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra and Chamber Choir<\/a> have just announced that they have secured\u00a0matching funds from the City of Toronto\u2019s Culture Build Investment Program leading to the completion of the final phase of renovations to Trinity-St. Paul\u2019s.<\/p>\n

These funds will be used to help cover the costs of Phase 2 of the Revitalisation Project that will transform the\u00a0space that the prized period orchestra has called home since 1981.<\/p>\n

\u201cTafelmusik is thrilled to have received this matching grant from the City of Toronto\u2019s Culture Build Investment Program,\u201d said Managing Director, Tricia Baldwin in a press release. \u201cThis incredible performance space is a valuable asset in Toronto\u2019s artistic community\u2026 We are proud to partner with our friends at Trinity-St. Paul\u2019s United Church to ensure that Toronto continues to have an accessible and affordable downtown arts venue with beautiful acoustics.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 19th century heritage building, first underwent phase 1 last summer, which resulted in major upgrades to Jeanne Lamon Hall, including improvements to over all acoustic design, seating and the\u00a0stage area. The results were nothing short of miraculous, and it has revitalized the space into one of Toronto\u2019s premiere\u00a0mid-sized concert halls.<\/p>\n

The second phase of the project will focus on improving the aesthetic design, as well as energy efficiency and accessibility. They will also expand the\u00a0lobby, upgrade the stage lighting a sound system, and renovate the box office area.<\/p>\n

The city\u00a0backed\u00a0project\u00a0is on track to be completed by late September, just in time for the start of the busy concert season.<\/p>\n
