He has been very busy over the past four years, with over 20 premieres in Canada and the United States. Upcoming performances include: a collaborative piece with composer\/ percussionist Germaine Liu at the Music Gallery on May 15th as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicgallery.org\/emergents-iv-thin-edge-new-music-collective-jason-doell-germaine-liu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Emergents series<\/a>, a piece for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arraymusic.com\/?page_id=945\" target=\"_blank\">Arraymusic Young Composers\u2019 Workshop<\/a> also in May, and a string quartet for the Cecilia Quartet as part of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.soundstreams.ca\/emerging-composer-workshop\" target=\"_blank\">Soundstreams\u2019 Emerging Composer Workshop<\/a> that will be performed on April 6th.<\/p>\n<p>According to the press release, \u201cThe Toronto Emerging Composer Award was revived in 2010 through a multi-year commitment from philanthropists Michael M. Koerner and Roger D. Moore. Its purpose is to recognize the excellent work of emerging music creators from the Greater Toronto Area who exhibit innovation, experimentation and a willingness to take risks in their work.
