Deutsche Grammophon<\/a>\u00a0has just announced that German concert and film music composer Max Richter, has struck a substantial deal with the label on the exclusive re-release of a number of his past albums, and some newer projects which have yet to emerge.<\/p>\n

Richter responded: \u00a0\u201cI am thrilled to be part of the Yellow Label family, and look forward to helping shape the presentation of and passion for contemporary music over the coming years.\u201d<\/p>\n

The deal encompasses an April, 2014 release of Infra, 24 Postcards in Full Colour, Songs from Before and The Blue Notebooks. In addition, a new recording of Richter\u2019s ambitious orchestral work Memoryhouse will appear in September.<\/p>\n

To commemorate the new partnership, Deutsche Grammophon will release a new version of Richter\u2019s best-selling album Vivaldi Recomposed.<\/p>\n

The new version will include new remixes, newly composed electronic soundscapes, and an exclusive performance film, featuring Max Richter and violinist Daniel Hope. They will also release a brand-new app that will allow users to explore Richter\u2019s version side-by-side with Vivaldi\u2019s original.<\/p>\n

Max Richter, also a prolific film composer, has also\u00a0announced<\/a> that he will be writing the music for the new HBO TV series The Leftovers<\/a> starring Justin Theroux and Liv Tyler.<\/p>\n
