It can make your heart pound. It can make your heart soar. It&#8217;s not about formalities or a hushed concert hall; at its best, all music touches the essence of what makes us human. That&#8217;s what this series is about, and it&#8217;s wonderful to have confirmation that this kind of exploration of music is valued.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>You can check out the series, which is co-produced by Denise Ball, <a href=\"http:\/\/music.cbc.ca\/#\/blogs\/2012\/9\/The-Signature-Series-on-CBC-Music\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Italian broadcaster RAI has been running the Prix Italia since 1948 to promote excellence in radio and television.
