The Awards were presented on Monday, June 29 at a gala event at ceremony at Meridian Hall, hosted by actor Amaka Umeh.<\/p>\n<p>Several productions took home multiple awards, including Through the Eyes of God, The Division, Narnia, Octet, She Holds Up the Stars, ZAYO, and the Canadian Opera Company\u2019s Orfeo ed Euridice.<\/p>\n<p>The Dora Awards is Canada\u2019s largest and oldest awards program, and this year, included 221 nominations across 44 gender-inclusive award categories within seven divisions, reflecting the remarkable artistry of the 2025-2026 season. This year\u2019s nominations represented 214 shows from 99 TAPA-registered companies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year we saw a return to pre-pandemic numbers for the Doras, with 214 productions registered across divisions of Theatre, Opera, and Dance. Knaapen has been a dedicated advocate for Toronto\u2019s cultural sector and the performing arts for decades.<\/p>\n<h2>The Dora Mavor Moore Awards<\/h2>\n<p>The Doras are named for Dora Mavor Moore (1888-1979).
