It includes well-known m\u00e9lodies by French composers, contemporary settings by Elliott Carter and Jonathan Harvey, as well as three pieces commissioned by Dunlop for this project.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight&#8217;s concert is the third performance of this show, which includes visual art projections as well as translations of the texts.<\/p>\n<p>Dunlop explains how she enlisted the help of Halifax theatre director Roberta Barker to help shape the show.<\/p>\n<p>The whole thing is a DIY effort by a talented singer looking to find new ways of presenting concerts to a public that may not be into a traditional art-song recital.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m one of these people with ideas &#8212; and they seem to work,&#8221; says Dunlop.
