For the complete top 20, tune into Classical Chartz<\/a><\/strong> with the New Classical FM\u2019s Mark Wigmore every Saturday from 3-5 p.m.<\/p>\n Ludovico Einaudi<\/strong> cannot be stopped – he sits supreme at the No. 1 position on the Classical Chartz for several weeks now with his album The Summer Portraits<\/strong>. Just behind him, though, Jan Lisiecki<\/strong> and his album Preludes<\/strong> makes the leap from No. 7 to challenge Einaudi at No. 2.<\/p>\n There\u2019s a lot of up and down movement on the Classical Chartz from last week to this, and two newcomers.<\/p>\n One might be a little confusing. Last week, French violinist Renaud Capu\u00e7on<\/strong>\u2019s album of Richard Strauss sat at No. 6. This week, that release drops off the Top Ten to land at No. 12, but another album by the renowned musician takes its place at No. 6: Sibelius & Barber: Violin Concertos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The album of two great 20th century concertos was recorded with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and conductor Daniel Harding. Capu\u00e7on\u2019s recording joins others in his catalogue that specialize in late Romantic period where it begins to evolve into Modernism.<\/p>\n Brand new to the Chartz this week, Anthology: The Paris Concerts<\/strong> by Canadian composer Howard Shore<\/strong> makes its debut at No. 10. The album, on the Deutsche Grammophon label, is a retrospective of the composer who\u2019s won 3 Oscars, 3 Golden Globes and 4 Grammys, including, of course, that Oscar for his iconic score to The Lord of the Rings trilogy<\/a>.<\/p>\n The album was recorded during a 2023 celebration by Radio France called \u201cWeek-End Howard Shore\u201d, and includes excerpts from his famous movie scores such as The Fly, Naked Lunch, Ed Wood, Crash, Esther Kahn, Eastern Promises\u00a0and LOTR, along with a non-cinematic piece for solo piano entitled Catania.<\/p>\n Performers on the release include the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, conducted by Ludwig Wicki and Bastien Stil, with Mike Sch\u00e4perclaus conductin Le Balcon in the chamber pieces.<\/p>\n Are you looking to promote an event<\/u><\/span><\/a>?
