Cirque Musica is bringing their Holiday Wonderland show to Toronto on November 20. Cirque Musica combines circus acrobatics and a seasonal aesthetic with the kind of spectacular visual style we\u2019ve come to expect from contemporary circus shows. The acrobatics and daredevil stunts are accompanied by live singers and symphonic music.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor 15 years, our beloved Cirque Musica Holiday Wonderland has brought holiday joy to audiences across North America. We are so proud to celebrate our 15th anniversary tour with an all-new show that continues to bring an unforgettable, magical experience,\u201d said Stephen Cook<\/strong>, President of TCG Entertainment, Producer of Cirque Musica in a statement.<\/p>\n

Acrobatics and gravity-defying aerial feats, musicians and singers will perform in a multimedia experience with a story that fits the seasonal theme.<\/p>\n

Canadian fans get to experience the show starting this month, from Prince Edward Island through to Northern Ontario and into Minnesota, then heading west across Canada to Calgary, into Colorado, and across the northern US back east to all the way to New Jersey, then south to Florida and Texas. More dates are expected to be announced in summer 2025.<\/p>\n

Cirque Musica: About the Show<\/h3>\n

James Olmstead<\/strong>, the music supervisor and production lead for this year\u2019s Cirque Musica Holiday Wonderland tour, talks about selecting the music for this year\u2019s show.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe produce original Cirque music for the acts using various Christmas themes, of which you already named two: \u201cGreensleeves\u201d (the act is Solo Straps) and \u201cHousetop\u201d (Roller Skating act). The first is a high-impact thriller of \u201cGreensleeves\u201d featuring live violin, while the latter uses the melody from \u201cUp On the Housetop\u201d with a bouncy Django jazz\/electro feel.\u201d<\/p>\n

James adds, \u201cOther songs include \u201cAngels\u201d (the act is called Aerial Chandelier), which features themes from \u201cHark the Herald Angels Sing\u201d as well as \u201cAngels We Have Heard On High\u201d. Plus, we have other songs with live singing and even some audience participation. Original tunes this year include the theme song for \u201cWonderland\u201d as well as a comic song called \u201cXmas Spirit\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n

In terms of performers, Casey Martin Klein<\/strong>, Lead Actor and Associate, gave an overview of this season’s talent.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year we have a variety of fantastic performers with us on the tour. They hail from the United States, Mexico, Ethiopia, Ecuador, Argentina, Estonia, Austria, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Venezuela. We have incredible ground and aerial acts, including Lyra, straps, an aerial chandelier, and an aerial ladder. We even have an aerial act on roller skates! On the ground, we are featuring Rolla Bolla, juggling, hula hoops, and contortionists. We are so excited to have back this year the Wheel of Death, a heart-pounding, thrilling act! The audiences are laughing, cheering, and celebrating the holidays with us in style. It is a wonderful experience for all!\u201d<\/p>\n
