For the complete top 20, tune into Classical Chartz<\/a><\/strong> with the New Classical FM\u2019s Mark Wigmore every Saturday from 3-5 p.m.<\/p>\n Tafelmusik and Rachel Podger<\/strong>, Principal Guest Director, hold on to the No. 1 spot for a second week with their simply titled Haydn Symphonies 43 & 49<\/strong>. Close behind, Daniil Trifonov and the Philadelphia Orchestra<\/strong> rise for steps from No. 6 to the second place spot on the Classical Chartz Top Ten for the week, with My American Story: North<\/strong>, inspired by the pianist\u2019s musical journey since moving to the United States. Andrea Bocelli<\/strong>\u2019s Duets (30th Anniversary)<\/strong> jumps up from No. 8 to land at No 3 this week.<\/p>\n Fran\u00e7ois Dompierre<\/strong>\u2019s Requiem<\/strong> rises from No. 16 to make a Top Ten debut at No. 9. A native of Ottawa, composer Fran\u00e7ois Dompierre is a hit maker in the world of francophone music in Qu\u00e9bec, including composing the music for more than 200 songs, and working as an orchestrator and music director with Qu\u00e9becois icons like Pauline Julien and F\u00e9lix Leclerc. He\u2019s also written the music for more than 60 films for directors such as Denys Arcand, Jacques Godbout, and many others. He has composed operas and other works for performance.<\/p>\n The album features soprano Myriam Leblanc<\/strong>, tenor Andrew Haji<\/strong>, and baritione Geoffroy Salvas<\/strong>, with the Orchestre FILMharmonique<\/a> and Ensemble ArtChoral, and their conductor Francis Choini\u00e8re. The FILMharmonique orchestra, based in Montr\u00e9al, is an inspired choice for his cinematic music. The album offers his imaginative take on 12 liturgical texts.<\/p>\n Just behind, V\u00edkingur \u00d3lafsson<\/strong> and his album Continuum<\/strong> enter the Classical Chartz for the first time to land at the No. 10 spot. The release is a continuation of the Icelandic pianist\u2019s fascination with the music of Bach. He talks about it in an Instagram post<\/a>, calling it, \u201cThe first installment of what will be an ongoing Bach diary for me, featuring my new arrangements..\u201d<\/p>\n The album consists of six new Bach singles that the artist recorded at Reykjavik\u2019s Harpa concert hall in January 2024. The tracks feature arrangements of sacred music by Bach for solo piano, four of which \u00d3lafsson arranged himself. \u00d3lafsson\u2019s arrangement of the bass aria\u00a0\u201cEs ist vollbracht\u201d\u00a0from the Cantata, BWV\u00a0159 is the first single off the 2024 release.<\/p>\n Are you looking to promote an event<\/u><\/span><\/a>?
