For the complete top 20, tune into Classical Chartz<\/a><\/strong> with the New Classical FM\u2019s Mark Wigmore every Saturday from 3-5 p.m.<\/p>\n Toronto\u2019s Tafelmusik and Rachel Podger<\/strong> take over the No. 1 position this week, rising up from No. 6 last week with their Haydn Symphonies 43 & 49<\/strong>. Close behind, the Vienna Philharmonic and Christian Thielemann<\/strong> back up pianist Igor Levit<\/strong> on Brahms, which rises from No. 4 to take the No. 2 spot this week.<\/p>\n There are three newcomers to the Classical Chartz Top Ten for the week of November 4. Voces8<\/strong> and their release Nightfall<\/strong> make a modest step up from No. 11 to No. 10. Night time is the theme that unites work by a diverse group of composers on the album, with tracks featuring new choral arrangements of pieces by popular contemporary composers like Ludovico Einaudi, Sigur R\u00f3s, Koji Kondo and Max Richter, along with music by Lucy Walker and US composer Taylor Scott Davis.<\/p>\n Two releases make their debut on the Classical Chartz in the Top Ten. Daniil Trifonov and the Philadelphia Orchestra<\/strong> and My American Story: North<\/strong> land at No. 6. Daniil Trifonov, The Philadelphia Orchestra, and conductor Yannick N\u00e9zet-S\u00e9guin offer three CDs worth of American classics by Green, Gershwin, Copland, Young, Newman, Bates and others. It\u2019s intended to be the first of two albums of pieces that have a personal connection for the renowned pianist who has made the US his home for two decades.<\/p>\n He comments on the music<\/a>, which draws from diverse genres, \u201c[it] has given me access to many perspectives, styles, cultures, places, people, stories and forms of expression that have shaped and moulded my experience of America.\u201d That includes jazz, swing and film music along with minimalism and other genres.<\/p>\n Tenor Andrea Bocelli<\/strong> debuts on the Classical Chartz at No. 8 with Duets (30th Anniversary)<\/strong>. The album combines some of his most popular collaborations from over the years, including the iconic Time To Say Goodbye with Sarah Brightman, and others such as C\u00e9line Dion and Edith Piaf, along with brand new debuts with the likes of Shania Twain, Chris Stapleton, Matteo Bocelli with Hans Zimmer, and many more.<\/p>\n The uber popular tenor also recently released a documentary about his life and career<\/a> to celebrate three decades in the biz at the top of his game.
