For the complete top 20, tune into\u00a0Classical Chartz<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0with the New Classical FM\u2019s Mark Wigmore every Saturday from 3-5 p.m.<\/p>\n Johannes Brahms<\/strong> is back on top! Yannick N\u00e9zet-S\u00e9guin and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe take the No. 1 spot this week with their stunning album Johannes Brahms<\/em>, climbing up from No. 2. Their impeccable renditions of Brahms’s symphonies have clearly resonated with listeners.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Summer Night Concert 2024<\/em> by Andris Nelsons & the Vienna Philharmonic, which had held the top position, slips down to No. 2. Still, the album remains a summer favourite, with its rich, vibrant performances of classical masterworks perfect for any evening.<\/p>\n Moving up to No. 3, we see Daniel Hope<\/strong> with Irish Roots<\/em>, an album that explores the deep and soulful melodies of Ireland. His leap from No. 8 last week shows just how much listeners are embracing this exploration of Celtic tunes.<\/p>\n Bruce Liu<\/strong> makes an impressive jump to No. 4 from last week’s No. 6 with his new release Waves: Music by Satie<\/em>. Liu\u2019s delicate touch on the piano continues to win hearts, and his interpretation of Satie\u2019s minimalistic compositions is nothing short of mesmerizing.<\/p>\n In a bit of a slide, Bridgerton Season 3: Covers from the Series<\/em> drops to No. 5. While it’s still in the top five, this soundtrack, featuring classical covers of pop songs, has been slowly making way for more traditional classical albums as the summer progresses.<\/p>\n One of the most surprising and inspiring climbs this week is from The Poor Clares of Arundel<\/strong>, whose album Waves: Music by Satie<\/em> climbs all the way from No. 12 to No. 6. Their choral interpretations of Satie\u2019s compositions bring a serene and spiritual dimension to the pieces.<\/p>\n On the downward trend, Janine Jansen<\/strong>‘s Sibelius – Prokofiev 1 Violin Concertos<\/em> slides to No. 7 from No. 5. Though still a staple for violin enthusiasts, it seems the album is slowly ceding ground to newer entries.<\/p>\n Joe Hisaishi in Vienna<\/em> by Joe Hisaishi & Vienna Symphony<\/strong> moves down to No. 8. This collaboration remains a favourite, particularly for those who enjoy the fusion of classical symphonic sounds with Hisaishi\u2019s iconic film scores.<\/p>\n Plinio Fernandes<\/strong> enters the top ten at No. 9 with Cinema<\/em>. This album, featuring guitar interpretations of classic film scores, has been gaining traction, making a significant leap from No. 13 last week.<\/p>\n Rounding out the top ten is Sheku Kanneh-Mason, Nicola Benedetti & Benjamin Grosvenor<\/strong> with their powerful rendition of Beethoven\u2019s Triple Concerto<\/em>.
