Events and exhibitions run until April 1, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Incorporating a series of events and workshops, including an interactive exhibition, hybrid concerts, online workshops, and more, the festival revolves around the theme Reimagine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor Deep Wireless 2024, artists have reimagined the electromagnetic sphere and have considered the sounds of transmission as a musical instrument: from converting solar data into images to uncovering the musical potential of the noise between stations,&#8221; comments Darren Copeland, Artistic Director, New Adventures in Sound Art in a statement.<\/p>\n<h3>Events &amp; Exhibits<\/h3>\n<h4>Helios: An Interactive Exhibit | Ongoing to April 1, 2024<\/h4>\n<p>Audiovisual artist Dan Tapper celebrates the maximum phases of the sun by gathering solar data available from space organizations, adding DIY devices to encode the information into lo-fi sound and images. On the way, it reveals the radio spectrum in the earth\u2019s ionosphere. Audience members\/participants will be able to create their own sounds and images using the devices. More info <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/naisa.ca\/festivals\/deep-wireless\/installations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4>Online Workshops by Dan Tapper | January 27 and February 17, 2024<\/h4>\n<p>Dan Tapper has developed his own software toolkits for artists looking to work with open source space data. It\u2019s designed for various artistic media, and in the first workshop, Dan will show participants how to experiment by using astronomical data in art. The 18th edition of the Deep Wireless Compilation features works by Bekah Simms, Keith de Mendonca, Cl\u00e1udio de Pina, Mart\u00edn Rodriguez, Kat Estacio, AJ Cornell and Rutmeat that respond to the festival\u2019s themes.
