The number 1 and 2 spots are locked down for a second week, occupied by Anne-Sophie Mutter<\/strong>\u2019s Virtuosi (1) and Ang\u00e8le Dubeau and La Pieta<\/strong> with Philip Glass: Portrait at second.<\/p>\n

There are also two releases that are new to the Top Ten this week. At number 7, up from 15 last week, Canadian violin virtuoso James Ehnes<\/strong> & the BBC Philharmonic<\/strong> with conductor Sir Andrew Davis<\/strong> offer Stravinsky: Violin Concerto, Orchestral Works. James Ehnes is widely acknowledged as one of the premiere musicians of his generation, and this all-Stravinsky recording is his third on the Chandros label. Along with the Violin Concerto, the album includes orchestral suites, the Scherzo \u00e0 la russe, and Apollon Musag\u00e8te.<\/p>\n

New to the charts and roaring in at number 9 is the Vienna Philharmonic<\/strong> with Christian Thielemann<\/strong> and their New Year\u2019s Concert 2024. There is a traveling version of the show; this is the January 1, 2024 concert recorded in the Golden Hall of the storied Musikverein in Vienna. The Vienna Phil and Maestro Christian Thielemann offer a Strauss-heavy program with a pinch of Bruckner, Lumbye, Komz\u00e1k, and Ziehrer that was performed in front of an audience and broadcast live to more than 90 countries across the globe.<\/p>\n
