New to the company is the French-born, New York-based conductor Kamna Gupta. Michael Hidetoshi Mori directs. Info <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tapestryopera.com\/performances\/rocking-horse-winner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>RCM\/Glenn Gould School Chamber Opera<\/h3>\n<p>Friday Nov. 3 and Saturday Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m. Mazzoleni Hall. $20<\/p>\n<p>Students of the Glenn Gould School delve into the Tapestry archives and revive five quirky one-act operas originally seen between 2002 and 2009. Settings are said to include a park, an ice rink, a hardware store, an ant colony and a sock drawer. Peter Tiefenbach conducts. The program: Quinsin Nachoff\u2019s Quartet No. 1 and R. Murray Schafer\u2019s Quartets No. 2 (Waves) and No. 10 (Winter Birds). Suzy Smith leads a cast of six and chorus from the piano. Sir Andr\u00e1s now announces repertoire from the stage. But he is best known for his advocacy of the hardcore Austro-German classics.
