Scarborough\u00a0is a district and former city\u00a0within the eastern part of the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Scarborough is bordered by Lake Ontario to the South, Victoria Park Avenue to the West, \u00a0Steeles Avenue East,on the North, and the Rouge River on the east.\u00a0It was originally a separate city until the big amalgamation scooped it up in 1998.<\/p>\n
In general, Scarborough shares many\u00a0characteristics of a suburb of old Toronto. It topography is more rural the Bluffs, the Rouge Valley, and various\u00a0creeks. Scarborough has the most trees of any other area of\u00a0Toronto.<\/p>\n
It’s hard to believe that Scarborough City Centre was just farmland fifty years ago. This area now shows an\u00a0impressive skyline that many driving in from the east mistake for Toronto’s. The city centre\u00a0focuses around\u00a0Scarborough Town Centre Mall and the Scarborough Civic Centre.
