Exquisite Chinese instruments meld with a grand Western orchestra in a perfect harmony of East and West. New York-based\u00a0Shen Yun Symphony Orchestra\u00a0blends the two musical traditions in what critics call a breakthrough in classical music. Western strings, percussion, woodwinds, and brass accentuate the melodies of soul-stirring ancient Chinese instruments like the plucked pipa and two-stringed erhu.<\/p>\n
